　　吊唁信（letters of condolence）是寫給家中有人喪亡的親友以表慰問的信函。寫這類信要求態度認真、感情真摯。信文的措辤要嚴謹，不能濫用辤藻，切忌寫“He /She was to young to die！”等語句，也不宜提及故去人生命或死亡的細節，以免觸及親人的傷感。
