Lass="superseo">ast term a Canadian teacher came to our school. She was a young lady with blue eyes and golden hair. From the very first sight at the instant I met her in the school, her kind and lovely appearance, especially the pleasant smile gave me a deep impression. [What impressed me most when I met her the first time was her lovely and pleasant smile.](1)

She gave us lessons in English conversation. In her first class, she said to us,“Don't address me as'teacher’or 'Miss’。 Just call me Christian.”This immediately shortened the distance between us. We all regarded her as our good friend. When we met in[on](2)the campus, we smiled and said “Hi”。

Christian had a strange[unique(獨特的)](3)way of making her classes lively and interesting. The lessons she taught were not easily forgotten. We learned everything with a light heart. Once in a conversation class, she came into the classroom wearing so many clothes which seemed to me that[that it looked as if](4)she had just come back from the Antarctica. With a smile on her face, she pointed at her thick overcoat and said something about it. After that, she zipped(拉拉鏈)the overcoat open and revealed(露出)a pullover, then a sportswear…As she took her clothes off, she taught us their different names and uses. When the bell rang, she pointed to the big pile of clothes and asked, “Do you remember what they are called in English and what their uses are?”We laughed and said,“Yes, we remember them clearly.”Hearing this, she smiled satisfactorily. Her vivid way of teaching showed us that we should do everything creatively.

After class Christian often chated[chatted](5)with us. One day, when I asked her if she was homesick, she said, “Yes, I miss my family very much, especially during the nights when I'm alone. But when I'm with you during the daytime, I always feel happy and gay. I like all of you so much.”I was so moved by her words that I felt I had a lot of things to tell her, but my English was not good enough. I only said,“I like you, too.”At that time, however, language was not important, I think. There couldn't be a barrier(障礙)to the true friendship.

Christian, my good teacher and close friend, I will never forget your pleasant smile in my life.

so…要和that… seemed to me…
