　　US soldiers strained by six years at Iraq war are deserting their posts at the highest rate since 1980, with the number of Army deserters this year showing an 80 percent increase since the United States invaded Iraq in 2003.

　　日前，美國陸軍部發表報告說，去年一共有4698名美國陸軍士兵“開小差”，逃兵人數比例爲1980年以來。

　　儅逃兵可以說“desert one's post”,逃兵或開小差的士兵可以說“deserter”，逃兵比例爲“desertation rate”，另外，AWOL 表示absent without leave即擅離職守的。
