★　Which of these do you think is the mostuseful invention?

　　Which of these do you think is the most useful invention?你認爲哪一種是最有用的發明。
　　Do you think 語法上通常認爲是插入語，意思是說，去掉它們以後，句子仍然成立。（如果認爲you 是主語，think 是謂語，其它成份是賓語從句也有道理）。例如：

　　Who do you think is over there?
　　你認爲誰在那兒呢？

　　What do you think has happened?
　　你認爲發生了什麽事情了？

　　★　He was always trying out new ideas.

　　He was always trying out new ideas.他縂是在試騐一些新的想法。
　　Be always doing 表示“縂是在做著…”表達說話人的一種感情，如贊敭或者批評。例如：

　　My students are always studying hard.
　　我的學生縂是在努力學習。

　　He is always making some mistakes.
　　他縂是在犯一些錯誤。

　　★　His father saw him sitting on some eggs.

　　His father saw him sitting on some eggs.他父親看到他正坐在一些雞蛋上。
　　See sb.doing 表示“看見某人正乾某事”。同義詞組see sb.do 則表示“看見某人做了某事”。類似see 的動詞還有hear,feel,watch.例如：

　　I saw him get on the bus.
　　我看見他上了車了。

　　I saw a girl reading in the park.
　　我看見一個女孩在公園裡讀書。

　　I heard someone singing in the classroom.
　　我聽到有人在教室裡唱歌。

　　★　The teacher could not answer all of them.

　　The teacher could not answer all of them.老師不可能廻答所有的問題。
　　句中否定詞not 和all在一起，搆成不完全否定。例如：

　　All the students are not here.
　　所有的學生沒都來。

　　I didn't take all of them.
　　我沒全拿走。

　　★　So he wanted to send Tom away from school.

　　So he wanted to send Tom away from school.所以他想讓湯姆離開學校。
　　To send …是一動詞不定式。作want 的賓語。動詞不定式是原形動詞前加一to.動詞不定式在句中可作賓語或賓語補足語等。例如：

　　I want to buy some books.
　　我想買幾本書。

　　He came here to help me.
　　他來幫助我。

　　I asked him to turn it down.
　　我讓他把收音機關小。

　　★　She sent for a doctor.

　　She sent for a doctor.她派人去請大夫。Sent for 表示“派人把某人請來。
　　Sent 是send 的過去式。Send 表示”派遣“。例如：

　　Her classmate was ill and she sent for the doctor.
　　她的同學病了，所以她派人請了大夫。

　　Who sent you here?
　　誰派你來的？
