　　1. endanger vt. 危及，危害
　　The polluted air in the city is badly endangering the health of the residents.
　　城裡被汙染的空氣正嚴重地危及居民的健康。

　　2. limb n. 大樹枝
　　注意limb的結尾b是不發音的，類似的詞還有comb，tomb，你還能擧幾個例子嗎？
　　branch也是樹枝的意思，他們的區別就是limb指的是粗大的樹枝，branch指的則是比較細小的樹枝。

　　3. lack n. 缺乏
　　後麪常跟介詞of
　　The lack of rain aggravated the serious lack of food.
　　由於乾旱少雨,缺糧問題更加嚴重。
　　lack也可以作動詞用。
　　He lacks courage.
　　他缺乏勇氣。

　　4. ambush n. 埋伏
　　The soldiers were lying in an ambush.
　　士兵們埋伏起來。

　　5. plight n. 睏境
　　He is in a sad plight.
　　他陷入了悲慘的境地。
