　　Could you look after her for me while we're away.你能不能在我們不在的時候照看她？
　　while 表示“儅…的時候”，與while 同義的詞還有when,as,as soon as.其中when 表示“儅…的時候”，句中的動作時間可以是一時間點，as 表示“…一邊…一邊”，as soon as 表示“一…就…”。例如：

　　I feel happy while I live here these days.
　　這些日子我住這兒感到很愉快。

　　The students are reading when the teacher came in?
　　老師進來時，學生正在讀書。

　　They work as they sing.
　　他們一邊唱歌一邊工作。

　　Tell him about it as soon as he comes back.
　　他一廻來就告訴他。

　　★　They and the children were filling their bags with clothes and other things.

　　They and the children were filling their bags with clothes and other things.他們和孩子們正在往行李箱內裝衣服和其它東西。
　　Fill 是動詞，表示“裝滿…”，fill…with…表示“用…裝”，它的同義詞是full，full 是形容詞，表示“滿的”，be full of 表示“充滿著…”。例如：

　　How can I fill all these books into one bag?
　　我怎麽能把這些書放入一個包裡？

　　Our classroom is full of flowers.
　　我們的教室充滿了鮮花。

　　★　Make sure you've got the air tickets.

　　Make sure you've got the air tickets.檢查一下你們是否拿好了票。
　　Make sure 表示“弄清楚”，“查明”，後接賓語從句或of 短語。be sure 則表示“一定要”，“不要忘記”，“肯定”。例如：

　　Make sure if he is in the classroom.
　　檢查一下他是否在教室。

　　Be sure to tell me about it as soon as you know it.
　　衹要你知道了，一定要告訴我。

　　I am sure he can catch the bus.
　　我敢肯定他能趕上公共汽車。
