　　My hometown is Mount Lushan. Have you ever been there？ Mount Lushan is very famous for its beautiful scenery， excellent climate① and long history.

　　Mount Lushan stands on the south bank of the Changjiang River and the north bank of the Poyang Lake. It is 1，474 metres high and has a lot of nice scenic spots②， such as the Flower Path（花逕）， the Five-Old-ManPeak（五老峰），the Jinxiu Valley（錦綉穀）， the Immortal's Cave（仙人洞）， the Three-Step Waterfalls（三曡泉）and so on. Thousands of people from other parts of China and foreign countries come here every year， especially in summer.

　　Summer on Mount Lushan is very cool. The highest temperature is only 32℃。 It can be called a huge natural air-conditioner③ in summer. Winter here is nice， too. Heavy snow falls every year. There is a popular saying：“Mount Lushan in summer is green like a clear fountain④， and in winter is white like white jade⑤。”

　　I'm sure you will have a wonderful time in my hometown——MountLushan.

　　「寫法指要」

　　本文描寫了祖國的名山——廬山的風景特色。第一段說廬山爲什麽有名：美麗的風景，宜人的氣候和悠久的歷史。第二段描寫廬山的地理位置和景點。第三段寫廬山夏季的特點。

　　英語文章段與段之間要啣接得儅。本文第二段和第三段就啣接得非常好。作者在這裡用的是重申（restatement）的方法，即上段最後一句的某個詞要和下麪一段第一句中的詞照應，這裡是用重複“summer”一詞來照應的。這樣寫讓人有一氣呵成的感覺。
