發掘，出土

最新考古成果顯示，早在5000年前，浙江良渚就已經存在一座縂麪積達290多萬平方米的古城，那麽，文物“出土，發掘”怎麽說呢？

　　Archaeologists are excited at the prospect that the remains of a 4,000-year-old city - larger than the Forbidden City - unearthed on the east coast could be the oldest kingdom in the nation's history.

　　考古學家驚喜地發現，坐落於中國東部的浙江省良渚古城，麪積比北京紫禁城還要大，距今約有4000多年歷史，且可能成爲中國發掘出的歷史最悠久的古城。

　　這裡，unearth 表示“（從地下）出土，掘出”，古城（被）發掘表示爲“old kingdom unearthed”。遺跡，遺址即ruins/remains .

　　詞綴un-加名詞搆成動詞，表示“由……取出”，或“使……喪失”，例如unhorse（從馬上卸下），unmask （揭下麪具），unthrone （廢除王位）等等。
