suspect和doubt的區別

這兩個詞的共同意思是"懷疑"。它們的區別是∶

1.兩者都可以接that從句作賓語，但含義不同，前者的意思是"疑爲非";後者的意思是"疑爲是"。

例句：

I doubt that she is the spy.

我不相信她是間諜。（認爲不見得）

I suspect that she is the spy.

我懷疑她是間諜。（認爲有可能）

2. doubt後可接whether或if從句，但suspect則不能。

例句：

He doubted whether they would be able to help.

他拿不準他們是否能幫忙。

I doubt if he is honest.

我懷疑他是否誠實。
