朔風凝野被寒霜。       The frost wild is frozen in wind.
庭樹蕓黃。             Trees turn yellow in the yard .
菊花凋盡蒹衰萎，       Withered are chrysanthemum and reeds,
惟峰巒、松柏蒼蒼。     Pines and cypresses still green on mountains.  
河岸柳堤空寂，         No one is on the willow bank,
水邊池苑蕭涼。         Around the pool in the garden bleak.

獨行來此沐羲陽。       I by myself come here to bask.  
小道徜徉。             Along the path I take a walk.
一枝斜倚谿邊石，       Over a rock by the stream a branch stretches,
色如金、透臘梅香。     Colored golden, giving off wintersweet smells.
未幾枝頭繁綻，         Soon it will be in full bloom，
清新馥鬱芬芳。         With air filled with fresh fragrance.
