A postdoctoral position is available to study oxidative processes in vivo using transgenic mice expressing a genetically-encoded biosensor for the glutathione redox potential (Gutscher et al. (2008) Nature Methods 5, 553-559).

Applicants must hold a PhD and have a good command of the English language (verbal and written). Experience in handling mice and tissue sectioning is required. Experience in fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry is highly desired.

Our lab studies the role of oxidants and oxidoreductases in cellular behaviour and cell fate decisions (Schwertassek et al. (2007) EMBO Journal: 26, 3086; Kienast et al. (2007) Nature Immunology: 8, 864). For an overview, see
