New Millennium

1999 is a chaotic year. Many global issues are waiting to be solved. On the other hand，most people can‘t wait to welcome the new millennium. In the last thousand years，human society has really improved a lot. As a result，people’s lives are better and longer. But are people happier？Certainly not！There are so many problems that our quality of living is threatened. For example，many countries face the problems of over-population，infectious diseases，unemployment and destruction of the environment. I hope we will overcome those problems in the new millennium. What is the big picture？In education，I hope that all children will be educated according to their interests. They won‘t be forced to do what they don’t like.

　　As the information age approaches，I hope all students will have sufficient computer literacy and be able to utilize this technology to study. Maybe will have an electronic satchel to replace all those school books！And，of course，the future leaders should be enlightened enough to provide a benevolent system of education and government. I also hope people will pay more attention to their health problems. Individually，we should practice healthy habits，such as washing our hands before we eat a meal and getting regular exercise. We should try to release ourselves from stress caused by work since we have more and more pressure at work everyday. On the other hand，the government should spend more money on health care and educate the people. We all hope for a better tomorrow，so let‘s try our best to improve the world.
