盜鍾

　　範氏之敗，有竊其鍾負 而走者，鎗然有聲，懼人聞之，遽掩其耳。憎人聞之，可也；自掩其耳，悖矣。

　　儅範吉射被打敗了的時候，有個媮了他的鍾背著它逃跑的人。鍾玎玎鐺鐺地發出聲音來，這個媮鍾的人害怕別人聽見鍾聲，趕緊捂住他自己的耳朵。不喜歡別人聽見鍾聲，還算說得過去；自己捂住自己的耳朵，太荒唐啦！

　　STEALING THE BELL

　　When Fen Jishe was defeated， there was a person who stole his bell and fled carrying it on his back. The bell gave out a resonant peal. This thief， fearing that other people would hear the sound of the bell， quickly covered his own ears. To abhor the fact that other people might hear the sound of the bell is understandable； but how ridiculous of him to cover up his own ears！
