小心別“泄密”

說過了保守秘密的“天知地知，你知我知”，該來說說“泄密”的表達了。

　　1.Spill the beans 泄漏秘密

　　Spill the beans 的意思就是“泄露秘密”，含有“泄露秘密後破壞了計劃或是破壞了準備給某人的驚喜”的意思。例如：

　　Don't spill the beans. It's supposed to be a secret.
　　別說漏了嘴，這可是個秘密哦！

　　2. Blow the gaff （on something）

　　這個片語的意思也是“泄密”，但它的後果可比spill the beans 要嚴重，泄密的後果可能會給儅事人帶來麻煩。例如：They killed Green because he was about to blow the gaff on their drug dealing. 他們殺死了格林，因爲他要把他們販毒的事情說出去。

　　3. Let the cat out of the bag

　　這個片語應該是大家最常見到的表示“泄密”的片語吧。據說是來源於古老的英格蘭。儅時賣豬的小販都會把豬裝在口袋裡，以便購買的人拿著方便。通常購買的人都會相信袋子裡裝的就是豬，不會再檢查。這樣就有一些不良的小販，將貓或者狗裝在袋子裡，矇混顧客，於是就出現了這樣一句流行語：Letting the CAT out of the Bag.於是也就有了今天關於“泄密”的這個表達。例如：

　　We wished that the author had not let the cat out of the bag.
　　我們希望作者沒有泄密。
