Let's get it over with.

　　Imogen: I'm not going to enjoy this.
　　Charlotte: Don't be such a misery, exercise is good for you.
　　Imogen: Going to the gym is not my idea of fun.
　　Charlotte: But think what it'll do for your figure.
　　Imogen: OK, let's get it over with as fast as we can and then we'll have some real fun.
　　夏樂蒂：來吧，我們去吧。

　　夏樂蒂：別這麽多怨言了，運動對你有益。
　　伊莫金：上健身館，我認爲竝不有趣。

　　伊莫金：好吧，我們盡快把這苦差事 了結，然後真真正正享受一下。
　　Get something over或get something over with是‘把不愉快但不得不做的事了結’；要加強語氣，可說get something over and done with，例如：I want to get this donkey work over (and done with) as quickly as possible（我想把這單調的苦差盡快做完）。Donkey work直譯是‘驢子的工作’，一般指枯燥的差事。Legal translation is donkey work即‘法律繙譯是沉悶的苦差事’。
　　畱意over and done with四字也可以獨立使用，意思是‘完結’，例如：The whole thing is over and done with now（整件事現在已經完結）。Have done with something/somebody則是‘做完了某事’或‘和某人/某事再無關系’，例如：(1) When you have done with the computer, could I use it?（你用完計算機之後，給我用好嗎？）(2) She had done with drugs/her drug-addicted brother（她已經戒了毒/她和那個吸毒的弟弟已經斷絕來往）。
　　有時，你會聽見人說Have done!那不是‘已經做好了’的意思，而是叫人‘停止’、‘住手’，等於Stop!例如："Your father was photographed dancing with his mistress.""John, have done!"（‘你父親和情婦跳舞的時候，被拍了照片。’‘約翰，不要再說了。’）
　　最後不妨談談Don't be such a misery一語。Misery一般是指‘痛苦’或‘悲慘’，但俗語也常用來說‘老是抱怨的人’或‘很難取悅的人’，例如：He is such a misery - he is always complaining about this and that（他這個人很麻煩，事事都不滿，事事都抱怨）。
