　　Hosts China's run in the ongoing FIFA Women's World Cup ended while losing 1-0 to Norway in the quarter-final. China coach Domanski-Lyfors' fate is pending as the hosts missed their target of advancing to top four on home soil.

　　Domanski-Lyfors, who took over the Chinese side in March this year, said after the match,"I don't know if I can direct this team to compete in the 2008 Beijing Olympics."

　　報道中說，東道主中國女足在世界盃1/4決賽中以0比1惜敗挪威，慘遭淘汰。由於未能實現沖入4強的賽前指標，主教練多曼斯基的去畱成爲未解疑問。這位僅執教中國女足五個多月的主帥賽後也表示，“我不知道明年奧運會時是否還將執教中國女足。”

　　這裡，“fate is pending”表示“前途懸而未決”，此処指中國女足主教練多曼斯基是否繼續執教仍未決定。
