IMO Standard Marine Communication Phrases
前言
爲保証安全航行，船與岸，船與船及船上的航海及安全溝通用語必須準確精鍊，以避免錯誤或造成睏惑。隨著全球貿易量的迅猛增長以及國際航行船舶數量的迅速增加，由於文化及語言等差異，語言溝通的障礙會導致誤解，對船舶，貨物，船員甚至海洋環境會造成危害。因此，Maritime Safety Committee於1973年確定英語爲航海通用語言，1997年Maritime Safety Committee提議使用SMCP，直至2001年IMO SMCP最終被採納竝流行推廣使用。
