“手足口病”相關詞滙

目前，中國內地爆發手足口病疫情的影響範圍正在擴大，安徽、山西、貴州、河北、陝西、浙江、湖北、廣東、湖南、江西、江囌、新疆、甯夏、雲南、海南15個省（區）以及北京、重慶2個直鎋市相繼發現感染個案，感染人數增至近1.2萬人，已造成28名兒童死亡。

　　The Ministry of Health warned that cases of hand-foot-mouth disease （HFMD） will possibly increase in the following months since June and July are the peak seasons for the disease.
　　衛生部發出預警信息表示，今後幾個月手足口病的發病數量將有所增加，6、7月份爲該病高發期。

　　HFMD, characterized by fever, sores in the mouth and rashes on hands and feet, is not a new infection and is common among infants and children, experts say. It can be triggered by various viruses and usually does not lead to death.
　　專家表示，手足口病是嬰兒和兒童常見的一種疾病，典型的症狀有：發熱，口腔潰瘍，以及手足皰疹等。有多種病毒可導致手足口病，一般不會致死。

　　該報道中，hand-foot-mouth disease 就是“手足口病”，英文報道中常用HFMD來簡稱此病。與其相關的表達有：sores in the mouth（口腔潰瘍），rashes on hands and feet（手足皰疹），slight fever（低燒），blister（水泡）等， 相關英文報道中的mouth ulcers 也是“口腔潰瘍”的意思。
